Openness in business is one of those things that every now and then I keep banging on about, but the reason for this is that I do feel its an important subject.
I think its a good thing that businesses, like Customer Street, make an effort to let their customers know exactly who they are dealing with. After all at the end of the day every business is run by real people but unlike Barclays or Tesco, where you can see a large proportion of the staff in the flesh, with an Internet business its no that simple.
The result of this is that we will soon be launching a new section on our website which will feature pictures and profiles of the people our customers deal with day in day out. Putting a real face on Customer Street is just another of the many ways we are using to remove the mystery that can often surround business.
It would be great to hear your thoughts on this. Do you think its a benefit to be able see who you are dealing with? Is there anything in particular that you feel we should be adding onto the profiles? I await your responses.
