Customer Street enjoy the Pizza Hut Experience

By Customer Street

Friday night saw the end of a very short but very busy week at Customer Street. The office was buzzing all week, plenty of hustle, plenty of bustle and a great atmosphere. Everyone was fully refreshed after the Christmas break and what better way to ease yourself back into the new year than a 3 day week.

To round the week off a few of us in the office decided that it would be nice to catch up on whats been going on whilst we were off with a trip to the local Pizza Hut in Lancaster.  Its not usually my first choice but it I went with the majority. I’m quite glad I did as well.

The restaurant wasn’t overly busy but there again there didn’t seem to be an over supply of staff either. We walked in and were greeted by a really bright bubbly young girl (hope that doesn’t offend but its a bit more readable than young female member of staff). Our party was taken to an available table and we were all given menus.

After about 5 minutes the same member of staff came back and took our drinks order, enquired if we were ready to order our food, which we were, and so took that as well.

The drinks arrived quite quickly, we were told our order was being prepared and it would be with us shortly. Some 20 minutes later our chosen selection duly arrived, Again friendly and full of fun we were asked if we wanted the usual extras, and during the course of the meal additional drinks were brought and she checked that everything was ok.

After the  meal the plates were taken away and we were offered deserts, coffees and refills of our drinks. The bill was paid and we left. However before we left we had a whip round for the tip and one of our party made a distinct point of telling our waitress, who it turns out was actually the duty manager, that this was probably the most attentive service we have had in a Pizza Hut and that we really appreciated her friendly bubbly personality.

It was at this point she (sadly I cant remember her name) went a little red and said it was a lovely thing to say and that it had made her night.

The point to this story is that very often it is not the big things that make the difference but a collection of little things, which on there  own are not too significant but when put together makes for a memorable experience.

This is the sort of approach that we take here at Customer Street, right through from the sales staff to the support staff and even our post room. It is attention to detail, a consistent approach and the right attitude which make Customer Street stand out from the rest. But just one more thing to add, as was proved on Friday night, not only leaving a tip but actually telling her how much we appreciated her efforts made all the difference. She felt good and we felt good (and full).

Next time you get the opportunity to catch someone doing something right make sure they know about it.
